Subject: Re: Shooting machinery

Most of the time when I see a coyote,I am in a pickup. I am not a "road hunter", but 9 times out of 10 that is just where I happen to be. I invested in the shortest AR I could get, so I could exit the vehicle quickly, to be in compliance with state law. I also bought a shorty because as soon as the gun haters outlaw the purchase of them, the short ones will be the first to go, and will be worth the most later on. By shorty, I mean 16" barrel, collapsable stock. That being said, I had a 16" in 5.56mm and It was so loud there was no way you could shoot it without ear plugs, even in a hunting situation. I bought a 16" AR in .308 caliber that doesn't seem to be near as loud.
