I have been looking at this problem as I have a google wifi mesh system. It works well to get signal around the house with a basement. In a few months we will be moving to another town and into town. Much more chance for congestion, etc. Wifi 6 has the new encryption system. After researching this for you and me, I found the above article. I do know that the wifi 6e is expensive. The 6 not so much. Read the article. I learned a lot from it.
Then go to go to this search to find your modem. I want a mesh system because the google mesh helped to get signal to parts of this house that has been impossible in the past. I also want a mesh system with a WAN port. That way I can replace the modem from the company with this mesh system.
