| The "Food and Chemical Toxicology" journal which published the (in)famous 2-year study on GMOs by Séralini last year is retracting the paper from publication and from all the journal's records:

On another note, the Institute for Responsible Technology led by its director Jeffrey M. Smith, who published a few books and movies against GMOs has published a report proposing possible links between GMOs and gluten sensitivity:

However, the report does not appear to bring anything conclusive, everything is written in the conditional.
Some anomalies are mentioned too, like Scandinavian gluten allergies being on the rise for the past 20 years, but as far as I know, people in Europe are not exposed to GMOs like Americans are, so it seems to me that it kills their whole argument. Still, the full report has some interesting information, like the fact that 80% of American pregnant women have Bt in their blood, and 60% of fetuses. The relationship between GM dairy and meat and our gut flora also seems to be something that should be investigated further, to prove or disprove.
Note that this report is not a scientific paper, just a compilation of a few selected papers. | |
