Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State | Does anyone know where you could get a diagram to plumb hydraulic flow control valve and spool control valve to a orbit motor?Havent tried my winch I made for NH3 tanks yet but may have to control speed with flow contol valve, does anyone know how to plumb one in a system like this. Thank, Terry

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State | I think I have it figured out, hydraulics go in to flow control valve, controled flow goes into spool control in and the excess oil gets teed into the return line with return from spool control valve. Terry

Hendricks MN | Are you putting the valve by the winch? If you are you should be able to just put a lever valve in the lines.

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State | yes I am but may want infinate speed control so want a flow control valve also. Terry

Hendricks MN | What kind of flow control valve are you using? Some have a return line (only need with an open center system) others are in-line valve (do not use with an open system for any length of time). The in-line would be best after the spool.

NW, OH (Wauseon) | Bullhauler you've got it figured out. Run it like you thought. One of those 3 port flow controls will work great for that.

Hendricks MN | If your running it on a close center system do not use the 3rd port to the return, just leave the plug in.

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State | Its actually a closed center load senseing system used on a Ford Versatile 9680 tractor, so your saying I could just use 2 hoses one in one out to the valve and no return? Terry

Hendricks MN | One in one out should work fine, be the same as controlling the flow at the tractor. If you use the 3rd port any time you have the oil flow to the circuit oil will be flowing to the return. Not a big deal if you only engage the lever when hooking up tanks. But if you use the same circuit to do something else like run a fan you don't want to have oil flow return instead of working. If you are running on the same circuit as the fan hook your fan off of the 3rd port. Your fan speed might drop when using the winch, but that wouldn't be a big deal at all.

NW, OH (Wauseon) | I disagree with Tim, and this is why, if you only use the two ports on the three port flow control, when u block the ef port, the tractor remote valve is set at 1/3 flow or 35% let's say around 10 gpm. If that amount of oil doesn't get out the remote and through your flow control, it is going to push as hard as it can to send 10 gpm of oil out. the system will go to maximum pump pressure and stay there until u open up your new flow control to let the oil flow to your winch valve. So really you should hook it up as u would an open center system. Now, on the other hand if u hook it up to your power beyond, that's a different story. Then use it as a two port flow limiter, and Hook in a load sense line after the flow control and before the winch valve.

NW, OH (Wauseon) | I'm planing on doing a drill fill auger set up just like u want I think. Variable speed and Reversible too for clean out. It's in my head ill try to draw it out for you, and post. (motor.png) Attachments ---------------- motor.png (14KB - 367 downloads)
