The product looks great.

BUT

Why would a sale department waste time and money on that DUMB so called music?

Not a bad looking unit! Sure seems to be a lot of ag tractor manufacturers now offering track systems. Maybe Caterpillar's claims about the advantages of using track systems on higher horsepower tractors was valid even though there were a lot of naysayers?

Looks nicely balanced, and one good thing is the Deere grill.

I suppose it is priced below the Case, tell us how much, I expect $50,000. less.

Can you go to the site, and build your own?

I thought it was funny when he said "the first time you've laid eyes on this tractor". I guess he'd never heard of the internet. :). Pictures of this tractor have been floating around here for months.

Looks pretty good. Will be interesting to see what they want for a new one.

What a low rent introduction! He had to read his comments off of a notecard? Seriously?? Deere, CNH, Kinze, shoot, even AGCO would have had the speaker memorize his comments. And then have to suffer through Judas Priest to boot? For the WHOLE SONG while they they fiddled with the lighting? Yeah, I know it was designed to build the anticipation and excitement of the 'grand unveiling', but unless you are unveiling to a bunch of old stoners and hippies, I believe they lost the rest of the attendees after the first verse. It might be a very well thought out product, maybe even at a price point far enough below the CNH quad to help sell them, but if I was at that intro, I sure as shootin' would remember where I saw it first in person because of the seemingly eternal flashing lights and hairband music from the last century.

That's the way Hank sees it..........

Saw this thing 9 months ago rolling down the road on a flat bed with no decals. It's still a Versatile. Versatile = Value (cheap sideline)!! It's not a Case, Deere, or Cat!

What makes you think it wont outwork green, red,, or yellow? It will cost way lesd, and ladt just as long. it has the cat powershift trans.

From a business stand point how many owners actually run there tractors? More than likely its just a prestiege thing. Bottom line producers will make more money, and Have a Good Tractor to boot.

Next thing the Canadians are going to tell us is that the seed hawk, seedmaster, and bourgault are the best drills out there and they pull them up and down the prairie with their Delta Track. C'mon a JD wheel, Case Quad, or a Cat pulling an 1890, Amity, or Horsch are all superior machines!!

i wouldn't count on it being any cheaper than quad track tho, year ago priced new versy and when compared apples to apples, ps, auto steer, electic over hyd finger tip control, was the same or about 1,000 higher than new deere 9360r, not saying deere is any better but at least it has a intergrel parking brake and hyd brakes where versy still had hand brake, even with ps trans, and versy still has dry disc brake setup. also versy needed about 3,000 lbs of weight to match deere shipping weight with out cast added yet.

A while back we priced out a Versatile 535 against a JD 9630.  Optioned the Versatile out the same as the JD.  JD came in $5,000 more but it was auto trac ready which Versatile at the time wasn't.  Plus the JD had a superior cab in my opinion.  Only way I see a Versatile being waaay cheaper is if you get them bare bones.

I think it looks great! They could bring one here for a season or two for advertising purposes, you know so the neighbors could see one perform in the field. I am not too proud to farm with one. I might be too poor, but I am not too proud!

Chebanse, IL.....

I agree on the intro method. Maybe that guy was a last minute stand-in & had no time to prepare. At least, that's the way it sounded.

I also wonder why they didn't bring it to Louisville? Seems they might've had a crowd there to look at it anyway.

Have been to the V dealer meeting in the past and new product introductions were supposed to be kept confidential - no photos and certainly no videos on YouTube.   That wasn't a stand in speaker and having spoke in front of 300 people for 30 minutes myself a few weeks ago, having some notes is a good idea.

Imagine a dealer will get a not so pleasant phone call about the leak.

Cummins uses many European companies to help keep their engines going. They are not the almighty they once were. Very inefficient as well.

It looks to me like they need to take some notes from Steve Jobs. That guy built a company simply on product introductions. He didn't do them in a parking lot, with bad music and lighting, he didn't speak monotone from a cue card with handheld mic. You need some energy, suspense, the feeling that you really have something new even if you do not. That's what he did.

Chebanse, IL.....

So why didn't they "mention it" @ Louisville? To me it looks more saleable in NA than their Russian combine introduction. That's my observation anyway.
