Yield Monitor upgrade on 2366 Case

Subject: Yield Monitor upgrade on 2366 Case


I'm Trying to put a Pro 700 in our 2366 case combine(2004) that had an AFS system "black box" that had yield info.
With the correct adapter plugs will this give me yield mapping?

Boone, Iowa		My 2388 had the Universal Display, a globe antenna and think it’s a red AFS box. I bought the adapter kit that came with a harness and mounting bracket. I used a Pro 600 last year, but switched to a Pro 700 when I got a red planter this spring. Make sure your 600/700 has the combine software. If not, it’s a $100 dealer charge. I took my AFS box to Ag Express to make sure the correct software was installed to be compatible with a 600/700.

SESD		Do you have a black box or a Universal Display+? If its a UD+ then there is an adapter harness, and different monitor bracket and then just a basic gps globe and you can map. I have no experience with a black box so I can't say how that swap works. First pic is Black Box, second is UD+

Boone, Iowa		I have been around Axial Flow combines for many years, but have never seen that black AFS box. The red AFS box I was referring to, is the receiver.

The black box monitor (or YM-2000 as CaseIH called it) was the yield monitor offered from the factory on 1996-97 2100 series Axial-Flows and 1998 model 2300 Axial-Flows. Made by Ag Leader. Was the first generation yield monitor for CaseIH.

Thank you, I have a Universal Display.

So by the sounds of this the patch kit will work for yield mapping + the antenna.
I have everything installed except the patch cable and updating my 700 that I took out of our tractor.
Can I add an auto steer kit as well?

SESD		I believe you can hook the new electristeer system right up to a Pro700
