Im not too computer savvy, been looking for a schematic for the ecm wiring and what wires are suppose to have power ground continuity etc, pin numbers of ecm plugs and what they go to would be a great help! Thanks

I just went through this.

Vegetto05's second post was the most helpful at this link. But I think he was off on which connector was which.

I think this is the correct diagram.

They can help troubleshoot it too. Their turn around on repairs is very fast.

The diagrams at QuickServe suck because of the way you have to view it (one pane at a time). Attached is the complete pdf version.

Hey thanks, exactly what I needed! Is there a foolproof way of checking the ecm? I have checked all power and ground pins, most of the sensors, and it still wont go right away, have to sit there for thirty seconds or a lot of times more before the stop engine light goes off and then it sends juice to the fuel solenoid and off she goes, runs perfect until you shut it off again, I sure don't mind getting an ecm but want to be sure that is the problem! Maybe I can send it to cummins and they can bench test?

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Are you saying that you have to crank the thing for 30 seconds before it fires, and then it's fine? If so, it sounds like a fuel bleed-down issue to me. I'd be checking fuel pressure myself.

Sorry, you turn the key on and have to wait seems like forever until the engine shutdown light goes out then she fires right up, not cranking for that long

It's normal for the light to come on when you first turn the key on - it serves as a bulb check. I still think you have a fuel system issue from the sounds of it. If you really think that the ECM is the issue, then check for power at the fuel solenoid while you're cranking.
