We are looking to re-seed some ground and trying to find the best seed.
Wanted to know if anyone has planted Tug-Of-War seed from Idaho?
We are located in Western, IL and want to know if it is worth it or not and if anyone has any comments concerning it.
Thank you

We put dairyland in last year and a 16 acre patch in middle of field didn't grow, they said not their problem, stuff that did grow hasn't been as good as croplan stuff we had. Call your local Masterschoice rep, they got a good deal going now for some alfalfa.

Kinda but not really.
FSG does a ton of breeding of alfalfa and then sells it off to other seed companies to market. In some cases a smaller seed company might have the same as another one but it would be like a company in Ohio and another one in Minnesota would have the same one, they usually don’t share trade areas.

Planted 40 acres of tug of war in 16 slowest growing alfalfa I ever had. Don't plan to plant again. Maybe just a here thing, I have been very happy with WL

I have planted dairyland for twenty five years.
I a newseeding not come thru winter. The few times I had trouble in th3 past they had 100% free replant seed. Had a new dsm in spring of 2015. He looked at stand and agreed it needed to be replanted.
Two days later he told me no free seed. Basically grow scratch.
Bill Skonetsky had retired and in two months they messed me over.
Haven’t planted any of their seed since!
They are schisters
Becks seems like they want to do the correct thing. They are owned by a Christian family, not a big Corp
