ZTR Puffer air ride seat for mower??

Subject: ZTR Puffer air ride seat for mower??



Chebanse, IL.....

Has anyone installed or used one of these air ride seats for a z-turn mower? They're called  "ZTR Puffer". 
We have a JD 997 mower & wonder if/how they work out on mowers. Considering one for the 997.

I have one on my Deere 915B zero turn. Works very well. My only complaint is that it raises your seat height a couple inches so you sit up higher than before. But it does greatly improve the ride quality.

SW IN		We put one on our 997. Don't mind the extra ride height. Well pleased.

CND		Put one on our grasshopper...have to be careful going down the ditch. It will bounce you right off. Not much travel in the seat and it isn't up and down, its more of an arc. It raised the seat height several inches also. The lever extenders are a must have option. It works good if you get the air just right in the right conditions, but if you bottom out on a bump its a jolt.

Virginia		We put one on our Fastrak SD last spring. It helped to smooth the ride a little bit.

north central Iowa, Hampton		one coop location has a puffer. Love it. higher seating, smoother ride.

Identical mower at 2nd location does not have one. Mow slower, bounce more and sit too low.

Spend the money, it's worth it!!

Put one on dads grasshopper last year, he likes it.  I don't care for it since it raised up the seat and feels unstable.
