We have a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. I got it stuck in the snow this morning. Is there an place to hook a chain to pull it out without wrecking something. If I can manage it our next car will be different.

car frames have "hook points(slots) for which car carriers have special chains/adaptors as hold-downs. I have managed to collect several from along highways...no you cannot have them.
typically short chains with 5/16" hook one end & special lug at the other: hard to describe without a pitcher

Make sure the towing vehicle is big enough to gently and smoothly pull it out with no jerking around and you can get away with a lot. I've hooked the a arm several times without issue. Probably a different story if you're dragging it up out of a steep ditch.

North Dakota
Not sure about Iowa but here in North Dakota there is a cable in with the spare tire. The one in our 14 Equinox is about 3 feet long and the instructions in the owners manual show where to hook them under the frame. The cable is only about a 1/4 “. Not sure how much it could pull.

Our Northern Tool store has a good selection of towing accessories to include "Cluster hooks" that have various hooks that will fit in the slots on the underside of cars.
