Hi all
Can some 1 help me plz,i am from SA and i have a problem with my case 4890.
I removed the valve bank and cleaned all valves and all is working 100%
When i pres the clutch to deep while driving it stops completly as iff the brakes are used and when i reverse its also as iff the brakes is on,can it be that the case stays in 4x4 mode or what

Yes it takes all the gears and lots of power.i changed the planetery gears the old ones broke it made a noise and after there where now gears and when i replaced it i started having this problem.i am sure there are no sticky valves

While the case is running in neutral i can put it in all 3 power shift gears but when i put it in reverce the engin cuts off.It can reverce when i put the case in 4th gear and high reves but its as iff the hand brake is on

Did you adjust the retard screws in the valve cover? Does the eng labor slightly when powershifting from 1st to 2nd? And then back down 2nd to 1st. If it labors to much. Those two screws are in too tight. If this doesnt help? And no spools are sticking? Sounds like something internal didnt go together properly ??? Good luck.

Hi.Yes it labor a lot when i shift it to 1 and 2.where are those 2 screws is it on top of the valve cover or inside and could that be the reson why the reverce is so hard to back up

The two screws that adjust the flow of oil leaving the clutch packs. Are on the face of the powershift valve. If memory is correct? It takes a 7/16" wrench to loosen jam nut. Then a flat bladed screw driver to back them out slightly. The upper one towards front of tractor adusts up shift from 1 to 2. The bottom one adjusts down shift from 2nd back to first. Oil should be at operating temperature to get best results. Transmission should be in neutral while adjusting. Also tractor shouldnt go in reverse in 4th gear. Wondering if reverse lockout spool is in backwards?

Yes it reversed in all 4 gears.when i put the gear any gear and the right hand side gear in reverce it did reverce but made a noise.should i leave the normal gear in neatral and only put the power shifter in reverce?

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong? But I didnt think the shift linkage would allow the powershift to go into reverse, if the transmission was in 4th gear?
But the tractor does labor some when shifting into reverse.

The flat side of the spool is on the oud side of the valve and the point side is inside the spring is pushing from the oud side on the vlad side of the spool
