Went through diagnostics and it told me it was fault 3141 (?). Of course there is no info about what that number means. Happened to catch the C-IH tech out on a job and he called me back and said that the code was "check water separator near right front of fuel tank." I drained out about half a coffee cups worth of glop and that cured the problem. My point is why can't the owners manual have a list of translations for the enigmas that are a relatively simple fix. I was damn disgusted and ready to blame Putin for my problem.

Unfortunately, johnny that happens quite often on a TierIVa Steiger and it can be frustrating to figure out. It can mean low boost pressure, fuel pressure problems, high intake air temperature and other things as well.

As far as fuel filters, that's another confusion on FPT engines in Steigers. The fuel filter on the engine does have a sensor to tell you it's plugged. Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10 the operator will tell you it still has good power.
The confusion is the primary fuel filter just has a WIF sensor( water in fuel) and has no way to tell you it's plugged except that the engine has no power.

At times, I could shut it down, restart and it would run fine for a few hours. Other times, it would throw the code a few minutes after restarting it. The dealer is aware of the situation and it is going into the shop sometime this week, but I'm just curious if this code is familiar to anybody on here and if so, what was the cure to get it up and running correctly again? Thanks for any replies!
