Faunsdale, AL | Most likely will eventually come to a head and drain, but can get pretty big as mentioned already. Unless it starts going down, I would plan on lancing and draining it. You want to slash it open end to end so it will not heal up on the outside until it has cleaned up from the inside out.
Tapping with a needle on a syringe works to find out whats in there, but it practically guarantees whatever it is will be contaminated with skin and hair germs. This almost always results in an abscess in the end......but its most likely already one, so the chances of doing harm are pretty low and the chance of curing it by draining is very high. | |
