I have a Badland 12000 lb winch from Harbor Freight that's a few years old, it was working good, but haven't used it in 6 months, it's on a gneck trailer, and it started working great then slowed up and stopped, now the seliniod just clicks,, what has happened to it? ,

If clicking and all battery connections are good, it's usually roasted contacts inside one of the relays.

I had that happen to my 8k HF winch I just took off all the relays and cut a pair of jumper cables and hooked them straight to the winch and the alligator clamps go to the battery if it goes the wrong way swap the alligator clamps on the battery has worked great this way for 4-5 years
