What do people like and dislike about these tractors. Would be used for tillage and would be replacing a JD 9120.

Thanks

Current 9120 is a 24 speed and the9360 is a powershift. I would hope the 9360 could outpull the 9120

You will be surprised at that 9360r. It doesn't have near as much power as you would think. We demoed one a year ago. Wanting something similar to our 9300. Didn't have to be as big as the 9300 but didn't want it to be to much smaller. Wasn't near the tractor which we figured. The R's don't have the low end pulling power as the older ones. It would probably be very compatible to your 9120 horsepower wise. You will love the power shift compared to the 24 speed. They are a nice smaller 4wd and you can get good deals on them. We ended up with a 9460r and it has just a little more power than our 9300. You will love the cabs. Watch out for tires. Sometimes they can have pretty small tires on them.

I will take the side of a 9360R...4th year with our and love it. We have had 4 wheeler since the 8640's and this one is one of the best. Would I try to go out with a 60 foot FC or a 15 shank deep ripper...no its not built for that but it is an absolute acre eater compared to our FWA's

I've been asking around about IVT and getting nothing but rave reviews.  I asked specifically about hard pulling and they all said it didn't seem to be a problem.  I wonder if the few who criticize that aspect just have them set wrong?  Seems like there's a few different ways to run them.

The 9360 is going to have 80 more HP than a 9120 and a slightly larger motor. Of course it isn't going to pull like the larger displacement 12.5L in your 9300. To top it off the 9x00 series were under-rated. A 9400 will usually pull with a 9520.

Like our 9360r. Pulls planter and grain cart. Guy always wants more hp or displacement but it does real well and a nice tractor.

Do you think a 9360 would pull a 7 shank disc ripper in our soils?

Join Deere 512, 12 inches deep and about 5.5mph

Pulled our 2700 9 shank at 8" deep around 5mph. Did better than I thought it would. Lighter ground not heavy black.

We upgraded from a powershift 9120 to a 9360R last year. Don't let anyone tell you that the 9360 is about the same as a 9120. The 9360 most definitely pulls better. Cab is obviously nicer too. The emissions are the only downside IMO.

Please explain what emissions issues you have had.

Never said I had any emissions problems. Just meant it is a downside because there is more potential for problems compared to a 9120.

Honestly I'm not sure when DEF came on those tractors. Ours is a 2013.

Slicker than a Yes album.
Correct. A 9370R will be the new model with DEF.
