A 42 ft ag hopper will hold 67-70k of heavy test weight corn.

Had a jet 30 ft hopper bottom 66" sides held 975 of milo once. I think the test weight was 62. 875-900 of corn is not a problem.

First load we had on a Wilson 41 ft. standard hopper, years ago, wound up being 1175 bu.of beans. Yeah we didn't know how to load it...and glad we got that one to the elevator.

Fulton County Ohio
Wilson, Timpte and Jet websites have capacities for various models. 33' 5" Timpte x 96 x 72 usually have 900 bu coming out of the field. 1080 bu out of the bin. High tw corn will approach 1200 bu. All are more than you can bridge. What is more important to you, manuverability or crossing the scale?

I have a 48 ft, two compartment Doepker that holds well over 1500 bu probably closer to 2000. Not sure because I've never had the courage to fill it. I had 100,000 lbs of 64 lb test weight wheat on it this year and it was far from full. It's a handy trailer to have when moving oats. 2 axles plus a lift axle but our laws are different here. I see you're from MI you guys get a little crazy too.

friend has a 38 foot neville with 66inch sides that we have been using it will hold 1000 of beans easy and the tarp will still roll with out hitting beans. 1040-1050 is full like you better pull up and hit the brakes before you try to roll the tarp.

I have a 30' 102" hi-side that holds 875 bushels of corn. Truck and trailer weigh <74k filled to the gills. i can scale 73k based on axle spacing, IIRC.

Easy to get around, hard to get an overweight ticket.

Moreauville LA
Timpte 43x102x78 1644 bu corn, 1590 bu milo 1510 bu beans
Wilson 41x96x72 1451 bu corn 1421 bu milo 1366 bu beans
CPS 40x96x67 1401 bu corn 1388 bu milo 1278 bu beans
And

I did put 1388 bu of high test weight milo on a 38' x 96 x 60 wilson flat.

Most I ever saw scale in at the elevator was 134,700 # of actual grain weight. It was weighed in the elevator in the load out hoppers in the head house. He weighed a little north of 166,000 on 5 axles. Older pete, with 45x102x78 wilson

Depends on who made it. My dad has a 30' x 102" x 66" farm master. I have yet to get 700 bushel in that thing.

I have a 32' x 96" x 84" Agri traders. Got 1012bu of corn in it once. Only about 25K over loaded.

Croswell, Michigan
You have to be so many inches from your drives to your trailer axles to get 80k. I have a 40' Wilson hopper with 66" sides. It will haul probably 1100 of corn, 1000+ of beans but more like 950 and 900 if you want to be legal.

Yes. 80K max if you get bridge formula. To get that you need 30' minimum between the center of the two sets of tandems.

Also there is a special provision in Michigan for a tandem/tandem. They allow you 17K per axle on he back of the truck and the trailer. So that will get you 68K and then after that it depends on your front tires. 700lbs per inch of width. But you are still limited to 80K max.

Wasn't sure if it applied to other states. Didn't want to misguide others.

We have a 34ft aluminum Jet. You can easily get 1025 bu corn and 915 bu beans from the field. Tarp may touch the crop just a little when you roll it over. Max I have had on the trailer was 1060 bu corn and 1000 bu beans.
