Case IH recently released the barracuda for a more aggressive vertical tillage option. Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this new tool. Thanks

The Delta
Ran a demo a week ago, liked the tool, sort've like the sunflower VT by the baldes, but case brought the better baskets and frame to the mix.

Looks like they just put Sunflowers serrated blades on a CIH machine. How you going to sharpen those blades?

So lets make a VT machine and convince everyone that it doesn't create a compaction layer, ok market that for a few years, nobody really happy because it really doesn't do anything but bruise weeds so put some serrated blades on it and make it move more dirt........kinda like a disk....hmmmmm, but we will still tell everyone its not a disk and we can price it a lot higher than a disk and people will buy it. That's my thoughts. Want to move dirt...buy a disk

Well said, seems like in some situations you might need a double rolling basket to smooth up the finish, if that's the case then why not have a disk.

Looks like it would be a fall only tool.

Too bad they used the 335 frame and not the original 330 frame which would have made a better tool atleast for us.

Barracuda blades are 22" but have 20s for the ends. Could you put the 20s on a 330?
