If we get the Steiger we are looking at, it will need a paint job. Anyone have any Ideas for a cool paint job a normal/basic painter (me) could do? Kind of thinking about somthing like the wild about steigers toy series, but may just do a normal paint job. Thanks

If you are serious about something like that you will probably just want to paint it green and take it to a graphics company. If they can cut that out of vinyl it would be nice. I would not recommend a "wrap" since that is a printed vinyl process and will fade quickly. (Not that Steiger green paint is known to be fade resistant....)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between a wrap and just cutting out vinyl?

A wrap covers the entire surface, so it would most likely be green vinyl with the black graphics printed on or cut and applied to the wrap. The easy way to think of a wrap is on race cars, they print the whole thing and stick it to the car. If you are dead set on all paint you could probably have a masking stencil made by a decal shop.

That being said, if you end up with it, and decide to do the toy series paint job, we need to see pics.

central ohio..between Springville and Millbrook.
Flat black with rattle cans and tint the windows! No other colors...no logos..no emblems. ..nothing but pure flat black...even shoot the new oil filters flat black when you change them.

You don't wanna invest money for a wrap on a tractor such as this ( if you're still referring to the 555 )

Of course you need to at least paint the "jolly roger" on the door if you go all black. Maybe do renegade plowing in someone else's no til field?

I'd love to paint a steiger like that for my girls. That was a real tractor painted at steiger in Fargo for a farmer for his wife.

I may just keep it simple like that. Do you have any idea on what paint code to use?
