Subject: row guidance for CIH cornhead and combine


I have a CIH 4412 corn head with factory AHHC and 8230 combine that has factory RTK auto guidance. My ground is fairly rolling and I am wondering what would be the best row guidance to install.

Southeast Iowa		The best dependable system around here has been Truesight. You also have the option to use the CIH row guide.

+1 on the truesight, here the combine techs don't even talk about the oem header guidance.

SW WI		I have CIH Row guide.....It is not dependable. My neighbor has true sight and that seems to work really well.

I have had great luck with the Reichhardt TAC row guidance system. Works way better than the factory Case stuff and goes around curved headlands excellent.

I installed the Reichhardt TAC system onto a 8120. The main reason that I did this was I had around a 1000ac that had down corn throughout the fields. The Reichhardt system worked flawlessly in these spots. It also does a great job going around curves and contours of the land. Very simple to install and can be ran using the Pro 700/600 monitor, or any ISO compatible monitor.
