I have a farmall h with an m & w 9-speed transmission in it. A tooth broke on one of gears, got caught and locked it up. We have it all a part and I am wondering where I might find parts. Two gears have one tooth missing, if I can't find parts do I dare put it back together with the old gears. Thanks in advance.

In the local farm paper there is a machine shop that advertises they can make gears, either one or a production run. I'd look around for something like that. You could also ask on ytmag.com in the farmall section. Maybe someone has one for parts?

You should look around at the collectors sites. Try to find the gear out of a salvage unit. There are places around here that make gears but it will cost $300 on up. One quote was $1300. Look for awhile first.

Do the gears you need have any part numbers on them or can you find a parts listing that would give you the part numbers? If you have the part numbers, a Goggle search MAY turn up something.

I'm not sure but I do know of two different Farmall H that have 9 speed transmissions. One has a lever on the left hand side of the clutch housing to operate the 9 speed shifter, the other H has a cable that runs thru the top right rear of the clutch bell housing to operate the 9 speed shifter. Both were referred to me as M&W 9 speeds. I don't know what or if there is a difference but something you might need to know if you call around for parts. Hopefully someone with Expertise will chime in and clear this up.
