| There has never been a health concern related to eating meat from a cow with eye cancer. What has been at issue lately is meat inspectors are under stricter scrutiny do condemn diseased animals and if the cancer is bad enough that the eye is wrecked they'll tank the whole animal. Cancer is not a contagious disease, but it is a disease and eating a cow that has any disease is definitely bad publicity any way you... cut it.
I would ask the vet if he/she thinks it could sell as a market cow. If so, sell the cow and put something else in the freezer. Happy wife == happy life. If he thinks the cow will be condemned, well then, you've got a harder decision :) | |
