Looking at a 2012 Kubota m135x Fwa with loader with 100hrs on it and just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on these tractors. I know absolutely zero about a Kubota other then a neighbor has 2 he likes but he puts very few hours on them. This tractor would be used on a cow calf operation and would do everything hay related and pull brush hogs to feeding in the winter. All our cattle operation tractors are currently blue and have been along time. Just wondering how durable the Kubota would be and how it will ride. We puts lots of hours on our tractors.

From what I know they are a good tractor but if you've had a Deere they don't compare. I would like to give one a try. I think the m126x or 125 has a 5 cylinder. That's what I'm interested in.

No clue. Neighbor has a 9940 and a 125. Not sure about the Deere. Only owned one and it's the worst tractor I've ever owned.

NEIGHBOR HAS JUST BOUGHT ONE HE LIKES IT, HAD A ABOUT 135HP cASE ih 4 YEARS OLD TREE FELL ON IT, to me the one thing Deere has is a park instead of the silly brake all others use.

'09 125 and a '11 126. Seem to be good tractors. Little on the lite side for some things. Wheels are to lite and I've had to put two rear rims on the 126 after setting wheels in and out, welds cracked(this is a problem of theirs IMO). Hydraulics are fine, but they aren't a Deere. Everything is a lot more primitive than the other comparable chore tractors IMP.  Love the power shift and that is what sold me. Anything at the time in a Deere that would have had that type of tranny was atleast $25 grand more. They do what we want and we would definately by them again for the price difference. Deere had a special this spring and was tryin to buy back market share from Kubota, should be some really good deals sittin on Deere lots rite about now.

They are asking 60 for this tractor and for any other brand of comparable hrs and power I would think would be lots more money.

Priced them at the four state farm show, Kubota was $20,000+ cheaper than others. I'd try one.

That sounds like a good price for the hours. I have a 135 with about 1800 hours and have not had any serious problems. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. As with any tractor, do you have a good dealer close? I will buy another one when I need it. As someone else said, Deere had a pretty good bounty on them this summer.

Dealer is 15-20 minutes away so same as Deere. Does it ride pretty well?

Ride is not bad, but I don't put a lot of road miles on it. When pulling a twelve row kinze planter, it will bounce some on the road.

We've got a 2010 135, bought it new, has 3200 hrs on it, loads feed everyday, moves bales, mows after feeding in the summer, have never had to do a thing other than change oil and grease the loader, it is not babied a bit

I have owned 2 Kubota M135's, both of them purchased new. Both tractors had the same engine problem at a few hundred hours where a bolt under the valve cover came loose and did a lot of damage to the head. This has been a problem on other tractors of this model as a neighbor also had it happen. Fortunately in my cases the tractors were still under warranty when it happened.

Kubota has had a recall on that problem since last fall. They put in new screws and added two years of warranty to all of those engines. Our local dealer had fifty some tractors to fix.

Any idea what year model tractors were affected? This one is a 2012 but only has 110hrs. I am going to check into that before I do anything on it.

Not for sure but would bet a 2012 would be included. Ask the dealer? Should be able to run the serial number to know what has been done to it.

They're different in the way they drive from any of the other colors. Turn the wheel and let go and it'll straighten itself out. I don't like that.

Problems so far all under warranty:
Pin fell out on range selector lever PITA
Piston stop on the steering tilt has broken 2x
Oil flow stopped up to release the PTO brake due to factories liquid gasket stuff = burnt up PTO clutch-that was a big one lost it to the shop for 2 weeks when it was really needed
I hate the hydraulic remotes

I love how smooth it is in the field or hay meadow but it has the suspension
It's really cheap compared to green-not worth $ saved though IMO
