Waiting for manual to arrive but need to know how to set bale tension asp. Seems to want to put max pressure on bale. Can,t see how to set pressure on manual mode. When bleed pressure off just goes back too to much tension. Seems to be all computer controlled with no total manual control.

NECO
Sounds like your load setting is too high possibly, which monitor do you have, the dickey john black box, or the fieldstar touch screen?

If the hay is very dry it might do that.

To set the load, there are two buttons in the upper right hand corner of the monitor that say "plunger load" min is 100 and max is 190. With 350lb twine I normally run 150-170. Are you getting overload messages? If you are just trying to start a bale, it may do that untill you get a bale formed to put tension against. To start with an empty baler, set tension to 100, get a bale out, then up the tension to where you think you want to be.
