Subject: Case backhoe hydraulic priming and bleeding procedure

Northern Kentucky
I have a 2002 Case 580 M and it had a leak on a low pressure line either a return or to the oil cooler that drained about 8 gallons of oil out of the system. I fixed the line and refilled it with oil and now is seems like it is either air locked or the pump went out. I rigged up a gauge and drain line on the pressure side of the pump and got all the air out. Doesn't seem to be building up any pressure now getting about 200 psi at 1500 rpm. Cracked some lines on the boom and I am getting oil flow there. It will move the bucket and loader if you run the rpm's up to about 1500 but it doesn't have any power. Hoping I have an air bubble on the supply side and it isn't the pump. What would be the proper procedure to get it out?

Have a SM and expect to see more trouble with it. Dad knocked out the rear axle temp sender/wire and the light and alarm come on all the time. You have one pump and I have two. Different transmission so probably different mounts and pumps. So I'm just going to lurk and hope that it starts working.

When it was down did you pull the suction screen? And did you change the filter? If so did you cut it to see what you have caught?
