Here's a picture of a pintle hitch plate for a semi. I looked everywhere to find one and Illiana truck parts found these for around $250. Jerry at Illiana said if they just bought the 1/2" plate of steel it was $400. This $250 plate was already pre-drilled and came with d-rings and a light plug hole. Ended up making a real cheap tender trailer. Bought the used trailer for $2500 and will probably have $500 in the hitch after I pay Illiana to install it.

The pintle hitch is VERY light. Sure wouldn't trust nor is it correct for that ring on trailer.

The pintle I bought was rated for 30,000 lbs and he spec'ed the plate for 30,000 lb. They also put in several braces and gussets to the plate.

sorry that bolt diameter and small blot pattern lead me to believe different.

The hitch is stamped 15t ?

I have no idea what formula they think to spec the plate at.

Triplett / Brunswick MO / Brookfield

It might be fine, but we've never had one put on that was as light as the one pictured. The ones we use are 1" plate. They also have bigger bolts.

It looks like a 7-Ton pintle?  If you change your mind and want something different Blue Jet makes this hitch and has both single and dual spade hitches for hauling big stuff.  I searched for pintle to handle a big grain cart and they are not existent.
