Guys,
I was just wondering what your impressions were of the various hopper movers on the market. We have the swinger, auger jogger and auger mover by the Jesse Company. The one by Jesse Company also incorporates the winch to raise the hopper.
I was just wondering what your experiences were with these.
Thanks
Rod

Walnut Grove, MN.

we have the swinger comes with remotes so you can swing the hopper from the cab of your truck or tractor. you can get as many remotes as you have trucks or tractors. the swinger can be hooked to the tractor battery or be plugged into an outlet for it to work. we got the one to plug into an outlet. works well even on our 13inch auger.

NO hi-tech/ high dollar swinger here, just a length of rope tied on both ends to oposite ends of the hppers. One on both sides of the hopper.
A remote system would be very nice.

we have a hopper walker and love it! We have wireless remotes for each truck. It hooks to the tractor battery, like that so I can come into the binsite and swing the hopper without having to get out to start the tractor.

I have a Backsaver mover works good on a 13" auger, it is a 12v system, and has a pair of remotes, part I like about that is you can run it from the truck cab as you are pulling up/leaving works good for me.

Ive run the auger jogger for 4 years and it's been great. Easy installation. Bought a new auger and moved the unit to it. I broke some studs on the control box and they sent me new one free even after I offered to pay for it (my fault). It comes with 4 remotes.

I'm not sure if you were asking about auger jogger but, no it doesn't raise the hopper at all on a westfield. I can't speak to other auger brands I guess.

Thanks guys
I did not see the Backsaver video before. This is from the Jesse company also. The one I see was from their web site and is different from this one. My brother talked to a salesman yesterday and it is $1650.00 for the Backsaver. I was wondering about how big a deal it was with the tire size and configuration, but it doesn't appear to be too serious.
Thanks again

I don't remember exactly, but I want to say roughly $1400 4-5 years ago.
