Warburg, AB | Need some help folks. Drove the boss's new-to-him KW T800 tandem grain truck (got it last fall), which was repowered with an '87 Big Cam 3. Scared me carpels when I stalled dead in the yard, the jakes will stall the engine at an idle on 1st setting. Clutch switch is good, the throttle switch on he governor works, checked it with power to it and ohm'd it out after removing it. But, it's closed (power to jakes) at idle, and if you rev it up, it releases the switch, opening the circuit, no power to jakes. Is this backwards? Is there a 3rd switch? How do the jakes disengage when you apply the throttle, versus let off and let it coast? I noticed the weird spring loaded linkage on the side of the fuel pump, assuming that has something to do with letting off the throttle so the jakes kick in?
A bit stumped here fellas, only other engine around that I could compare to was the T600 with an M11 and it wasn't handy.
