For those older JD machines that we can not easily tune with upgraded software I use part #RE1000 from Area Diesel service. They have worked very well for any of the customers Ive dealt with and are also backed by a lifetime warranty.

Have you ever dealt with a T&S chip at all? Are they any good?

No, I have not dealt with TS Performance personally. On your application it would probably be ok. I would shy away from a TS module on a newer common rail engine. I just always had good results with ADS on those older jd engines and liked the lifetime warranty even though I never really had any problems with them.
