 North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana | Put it in 4th gear, hold the brakes and let out on the clutch. If it dies at least you know the torque limiter is good and the problem lies in the tranny most likely and requires a split at the torque tube and rearend... big split. If it kinda bucks repeatedly then most likely the torque limiter is shot and it requires a split at the torque tube and engine... easy split. I have a 1270 and a 2594 that I have to do a big split on as soon as I get time. Not too bad just intimidating. |
