East Central, Nebraska | i agree. I bought 3 of them a couple years ago and switched 2 of them to gas and put a 1500 gallon water tank on them. That is definatly about all it can handle. I am glad i didn't go with my first plan and put a grain box on it cause there is no way it would have handled it. Just keep in mind when you buy one of these trucks: they are propane, they don't have 2-speed axles, they are very short wheel based, the frames aren't all that heavy, and i would guess about 100% of the time when a person buys one they are very tired. Sometimes they retire them for other reasons that you don't know until you get it home.
I know all of the things i mentioned can be fixed for some $$$ but i thought i might throw that at you. I am not saying i wouldn't ever do it again. That age and kind of truck are hard to find around here. I can't wait until they start parking the diesel ones. Though they sit freakishly low to the ground. | |
