Does Vermeer actually build these? I would guess that they are re-badging another brand, since Vermeer has never produced their own square baler. Tractorhouse is saying it's a 2013. Anybody familiar with one?

Are you sure about Laverda? I thought McCormick was made by Argo in Italy, so I did a search and Laverda came up as a motorcycle builder. The baler I would guess is a Welger as they are owned by Vermeer. There were a few of those floating around but never got going here. Tough market to break into.

Agco bought Laverda. They were an Italian combine maker. I knew Vermeer couldn't be doing it in-house. A salesman told me that Vermeer has been trying to buy a square baler design since the 90's unsuccessfully.

They brought 1 out when they were trying to get into the market. 5 strings instead of 6, bales in straw were 100-150# lighter. I wasn't impressed. Dealer never sold 1. Course he's a Hesston dealer also & he was not impressed either.
I'd bet it's a "orphan"(sp) & hard to find parts/service
