Anybody watch this show? Whats up with Carlisle not being on there anymore? Im not a fan of Hugh Roland or that other company on the show so I personally think the show is going downhill quick......

I watch it, kinda liked the Carlisle angle and then again I didn't. I like it when it's more of an owner/operator angle, which is exactly all it was in the beginning, just a bunch of guys running their own trucks. I hope they don't bank this whole season on the "Rivalry" or the "Battle" between VP and Polar or it's gonna get old quick. I'm not jumping ship yet...

They have to make controversy. Kinda like WWE wrestling, the drama is all fake and over the top....

Still watch it. Really enjoyed the first year, and the time they were on the death road.

The rest of the series is too much fake drama, but still the best on TV to take up some time on a Sunday evening.

Nice to see Lisa back, she left for a couple years because she didnt care for the fake drama. Looks like they offered enough to bring her back. She's a neat person, met her at a truck shop openning a few years ago.

I quit watching a few years ago when it became way too fake.   I have no idea even who Carlisle is, that's how long it's been.   When they started claiming it was 20 below air temp and they were working on bare metal with no gloves and you couldn't even see their breath, I figured it was time to leave.

I like Lisa and Alex. Glad to see Rick isn't back. I like Hugh at first but figured out he was a blow-hard arrogant p***k. Then they had the guys that drove over the road and think they can drive anywhere and have that attitude. It reminds me of an I-state corn farmer going to TX and saying he can grow corn there because he is the best at it in the I states. Not meaning to offend anybody just the best example I could think of while trying to keep eyes open.

IRT is over the top. You could not pay me enough to drive out across those lakes and oceans with a rig. Bad enough we drive out on the Saginaw Bay
when we have 2' of ice with the pickups, I prefer the quad or snowmobile.
Bad enough we have the beet transfers all winter, beet freeze in the box, glare ice roads with twin 30' trailers.

've watched Ice Road Truckers since the beginning. Every year it seems to be more & more staged. Last night was probably the final episode I will watch.. AS for Carlisle, seems like I heard, or read, somewhere that either Carlisle or the State of Alaska told them not to come back. Said the show was giving them a bad image.

That similar type of thing happened in the Yellow Knife area after that first season (after the original documentry that inspired the series)  I read back in 2007 that the local companies and even the DOT for that area said the production crews could not come back

First seasons lot better than now they wher the originals. Wish they would replay them episodes than last years. Carlisle was just a snow covered highway. Canada got a lot more challenges

I rode the haul road, "Dalton Highway" a few years back and it is no joke in the summer. Saw some trucks spinning out on loose gravel and I would hate to even try with a layer of snow. Some of those hills are steep enough you have a hard time walking down the road and slipping on rolling gravel. I agree that the 'drama' gets old, but the scenery is spectacular.

Has anybody ever seen a dirty truck on IRT ? Sometimes you do, but mostly the tractors appear to be freshly washed . That does not compute, a clean truck running in all that slush and snow.

The King of Obsolete, Joey Barnes is in it at some point this year, so I will watch it again. I had given up on it. I get tired of the blowhards and BS.

This season also chronicles an eccentric mechanic way up north who dances to the beat of a completely different drummer. Joey Barnes, nicknamed “The King of Obsolete,” fills his yard with trucks from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. Many of the vehicles are rarities, some he’s re-engineered into his own unique pieces of equipment. And he’s taken it upon himself to use his fleet of trucks to rescue those stuck in the most remote corners of Manitoba.

When she was on a couple of years ago, she had braces. My wife is a dental hygentist and she thinks that Lisa's lisp is from a retainer.

I liked the first season a lot-- its just gone down hill since then IMO. I think lisa has a piercing that gives her a lisp, put a little weight on her wouldn't hurt her lisp any either.

I was reading where Carlisle recently sold to another company is why they might not be on this season. My wife and I have been on the Dalton twice on vacations, its no joke. Last august we drove the whole stretch from Fairbanks to Prudhoe in a Jeep Liberty we rented. It is a wild road. As far as one poster said its just a snow covered highway, parts of it are pure hell. Some is paved, parts dirt, gravel the size of rip rap in sections and some washboarded so bad you about lose control. Weather changes by the mile and the fog on Atigun Pass was so think could hardly see past the hood. Lot of construction going on last year to improve sections..
