Just wondering what everyone runs across precast concrete J bunks? If you are just using the cables, or does bolting guardrail on work. I've been using cables, but they don't last very long. Other ideas, or pictures would be appreciated. thanks

I got cable on mine...I think I would go with guard rail next time. You could probably bolt it on the cable posts but I know they make a special post for guardrail. The only thing I really like about the cable is being able to adjust it up and down. I ended up getting some 7x1 (7 big strands) cable that works really well, you have to have the bushings in there or it will wreck any cable you run right away. My biggest problem is keeping the cable tight, seems to stretch a lot.

Where do you buy the posts for the cable that attaches to the bunks?

Thanks
How do the ends attach-- seems like it would need some kind of bracing.

Thanks -- I like seeing that view too. But I was referring to the ends where the cables attach.

I would recommend guardrail. cable will wear through. Used chain once to replace the cable and that wore through to.

I just got done putting 2 1/2 inch schedule 40 pipe. two rows of it. it is fast to put up I think it was 20 foot pieces and then we took and welded the seems. Made brackets to mount to the uprights on the bunks then slid the pipe through that.
