Subject: Case 580 super E Trans fluid. What to use?


Michigan		1984 Case Back hoe was left to us no book and there is no fluid on the stick for the Trans what to use hydraulic fluid or the red or clear hydra trans need a little help. Thanks

DE		my jcb calls for automatic transmission fluid, Dexron III, if memory serves. There are different types, so I can't help you there.

Used to be a fluid called TCH fluid, it was replaced by Hy-Tran plus IIRC.

NE AR		There is a dipstick under the cab floor for the transmission, think it uses heavy gear lube. Power shuttle uses Hy Tran.

NC Indiana		We run a universal hyd oil (Hy-Tran) in ours (by the fuel tank) and in the torque converter (right side of engine - pt or 2).
