I asked a few months ago as to whether anybody had seen or had any info / photos of the new proto square baler from Case?
Also, have Deere made any changes to the 7760's built this year.
TIA.

I spoke with a Case IH "person" who is involved with their picker design several months ago and he said the changes they were planning were more horsepower, tracks, and a follow behind caddy for "in the middle" of the field unloading. This would allow the picker to unload in mid field and carry the module to the end row. He said they were satisfied with the concept. I have not heard of a small square bale design. As far as the Deere......minor changes but major changes with emissions. Big exhaust and tier 4 engine.

Guess they are figuring on letting Deere take the market over completely. Told my red dealer that I was going to a balers be it CIH or Deere, he says they are coming with something different but doesn't know what exactly. If CIH sticks with the module builder they will not see my dollars.

I talked to a CIH "person" a few months ago, and he said they were keeping fairly tight lipped about what there doing, but was under the impression theres 2 or 3 different idea's there throwing around. He had heard about the caddy to carry it out to the end, but heard possibly the smaller sqaure bale that they could carry through the field, who knows. I'm about 2 years away from going that route, right now the only one i'd consider is the Deere Baler.

Its hard for me to believe that they can be testing in the field and no one has seen it. So few cotton acres that it's bound to be pretty visible.

Hope they get their testing done this year cause next year it looks like a lot less acres than this year. Neighbors bought 2 JD bale pickers for this year and have already made the deal to trade one of them in for a combine for 2013. Just started picking with it this week and have already traded it off.

I've been told now some of the experimental cotton equipment is being shipped to Brazil for testing. Don't know that for a fact but it came up in conversation regarding the stripper baler and header size the other day.
