Hey folks, just put a new steering motor on a good ole Ford TW15 tractor and want to make sure we are getting it right. Dont have access to CNH fluids. Is Hygard ok to use or should we be using an auto style power steering fluid? Thanks!!!

134D is the specified oil. HyGuard is fully equivelant. In the distant past Ford has specified automotive PS fluid in some models. I've used 10W30 engine oil more often than PS fluid tho. In reality... just about anything wet and slippery will work in those PS systems.

We always use the same 15-40 that we use in the engine. So when the seals go out, all the oil ends up in the crank case and we don't have to worry about engine oil contamination.
