Subject: Best way to sell/get rid of irrigation pipe

Central Nebraska

It is looking like dad and I are going to have about 6,000-8,000 feet of 8" irrigation pipe to get rid of this fall and I'm looking for the best way for it to find a new home.  It is a combination of plain main line and gated pipe (plastic and aluminum).  What are my best options.  Craigslist, consignment auction, salvage yard?

Here aluminum is worth more for scrap unless it is in really good shape

Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
Is it the kind that has a ring on one end and ears on the other that you give a quarter twist to lock or do you have to use the seperate individual bands to lock it together. Mainline is worth something here, lots being laid here after the last few years of drought.

If aluminum, I'd say scrap. I'd take the plastic to a consignment sale.

Southeast Florida
If you were in Mississippi Delta Region or here in S FL I’d say leave it close to the road and the meth heads will take care of it for you.

Lots of 8" & 10" still used here in SE TX. E-mail in profile, send me some particulars and I'll ask around.

Also, depending on your location, I might be interested in a small load of 8" plastic if its got 20" gates.

Call George Frazell. He has an add in the Midwest Messenger each issue. He will give you a quote over the phone. If it is good, tell him, he may offer more as usable pipe. I've used him a couple of times.

I'm in Kearney and would be interested in 30' long aluminum 8" gated pipe if it has square holes and 20" spaceing.  1.15 -1.20 per foot.  Not interested in plastic or tex-flow (the kind with the spring loaded loops on the bells)

I have an empty pipe trailer when it's time to pick it up...
