I don't bale alot but am looking for something with a little more capacity than my 311. I was looking for a 575 but stumbled across a sharp 570 priced well below any on tractorhouse. I know the pickup is 10" narrower than the 575 but are there any other major differences? Plunger speed look like it is the same as the 575.

570 is a excellent baler. It would make 2 amish run back and forth on wagon with two bales each in a large windrow. If I was to start custom baling again I would look at one.

We have one. Only bad thing is it barely covers the width of the windrow from our 9500. If you have a 9600 size machine you'll need a 575. Its been a good baler. 1997 model. Went through a spell a few years back where the knotter kept missing. Kept replacing parts and couldn't figure out the problem. Ended up taking it to the dealer. They figured it out. It rarely if ever misses. Doesn't get used as much now since we mostly bale round bales. Used to run around 2000 bale a day through it before we bought our round baler. That was with wagons. No kicker. Needed a lot of help n those days.

The knotters on the 570 are not quite has heavy and won't come off as easy to service, but that's not a big deal. we bale about 15k with a 570 with very very little problems, just keep up on some general maintenance and it will be great.

They are about the same as a 575. 570 has a narrower PU and 1 less rotor ( because of a narrower pu) and a 2 disc slip clutch vs a 3 disc on 575. May or may not have hydro form and hyd swing on hitch. I'm happy with our 570. Some days I wish we had the 575, seems like we do more and more double windrowing.

I think the NH with kick out a few more bale/hr but a JD makes a nice looking bale IMO.
