Seaforth, Ontario | I drove a 1060 Premium (with loader) for 3 years. It had lots of guts for its rated HP (105, IIRC) and got it to the ground well (MFWD). Planted a lot of beans pulling a 15 foot CIH 5400 drill on a Blu-Jet cart. Takes a while to get used to all the electronics and gear selection; jockeys would try to use it, stall it and walk away after 10 minutes; you had to have patience and let the computer reboot in order to start. It did have issues with the front wheel assist hubs; not sure if it was water/dirt or over-loading, but was expensive to repair (and wait for parts). After the second hub rebuild, it went down the road, traded on a CaseIH MX180 which was the more appropriate size for the work the Lamborghini was asked to do. Overall , I think it would make a good utility tractor if not abused. Lots of power and nice transmission (lots of gears with a reverser), if the price is right. |
