Subject: Seed chart for a JD bean meter

A friend has bean meters on an older 7000 planter these were purchased as an upgrade probably at least 10 years or so ago.  I'm thinking these are the radial bean meters they are NOT the old feed cup units. They were from JD and came with an original booklet for each meter. Apparently the booklets have gotten lost or misplaced.

These are 2 numbers on the unit.

A55413 is on the disk and is marked soybean.

JD  A60541 is on the meter itself.

Wondering if anyone has a booklet they can scan and post or email to me so that I can pass it on. Or at least a publication # off the booklet ?

Is this the same design used today ? or were there significant changes made along the way ? I want to try and get the right chart for sure.

Thanks for any info.

Divide the number of seed notches on the disk by 12 and use the corn chart multiplying by that numbers. E.g. Kinze has 60 notches, finger units have 12 fingers so the bean rate is 5 times the corn rate.

Gerald has the correct formula! My JD radial meter plate has 56 cells. Craig

Here's the info I got for my radial meters. You can change the settings on the discs for seed size as well.
