My 9330 has had the same kind of problem. Deere blaming it on the EGR system, although they have yet to get the problem fixed despite several attempts. Mine ran poorly for several weeks before i started getting codes related to the EGR coming up.

9230 does the same thing only it throws a code. 1347.07

I think that is a FPRV code. Dealer claims they fixed it last winter but it still does it. Real handy when pulling something through a tough spot when it lets go.

Anxious to see the responses. We've got one too. Just started using John Deere fuel protect. Dealer's first recommendation.

I have a 9330 that smokes as well. I have had a couple of 9300s and 9320s and none of them would smoke unless you set them on fire. This tractor has smoked since day 1. There are a few others (9330s) that I know of that smoke like mine. I think JD has something amiss but they dont have an answer for this problem yet. I have never seen a new tractor smoke like this. There is no way this could pass an EPA emission test.

Ours smokes black. It isn't a huge cloud, but is definitely more than the 9420's. It is accompanied by an exhaust flutter when the engine is warm. Smokes more on start up than the 20's too.

Have your dealer flush the fuel system, worth a try.

Most of the time with an ECU 1347.07 code, the Suction Control Valve on the pump is sticking. Also you need to check your oil level, there was an update on engine oil dipstick length. You may be overfilling the engine oil.

Yes, our book says 8.4 gallons but 7.4 gallons is the correct amount.
