Had a pretty reliable source tell me that Wade Inc with 14 stores in northern Mississippi has bought Reynolds farm equipment with 5 stores in central Indiana. Just interesting to know if locals in either area were aware of this merger. Seems to be the norm lately to jump to a different farming area across a couple state lines.

Haven’t heard that but Wade is pretty good.
Also heard that a certain Claas/Lexion group in Arkansas was bought out by a red dealer from the delta in Mississippi too. Agco might be in play in the deal too. Lots of things changing it seems.

Why would AGCO be involved?
As it was told to me they want Fendt in the area. A CIH store buying a Claas dealer doesn’t make a lot of sense either but if it were a stand alone business outside of their CIH stores I guess it could work.

IN
What you heard is factual info. We farm not far from main store and it’s been in the works for a couple of months. No idea on when the final date for the changeover is. Also was informed the name Reynolds will still be on the stores but not sure that it matters much. I’m hoping quality and personnel stay the same. They’ve generally been very good to work with service and sales. Parts guys are pretty top notch and have been there for years. Same with service manager. Crossing my fingers on this one.
Our other option is Truland which was Jackson-Lee-Pearson in the 90s and 2000s then went to Tri Green Equipment and Troxel Equipment. Then merged again to form TTG Equipment from both of them. Truland came in and bought up the final remaining stores of Tri Green, Troxel, and TTG and now has a a mega chain of 18 stores in IN and Ohio and maybe Eastern IL.
I hate as much as the next guy these multiple state dealer networks except for access to more equipment. I understand Gary Reynolds is getting old and it’s time to cash out you can’t hold on forever. Just hope that everything we like about the stores stays the same.
