coast of Maine | I do think they have a place ^ as in this posters place...But what goes in below has to come out. Then there is the extreme danger of falls and burns.Lots of issues of gases dropping in and then a spark or static. Not good.I know I would fall in ,,say walking around the front or back of a unit being worked on that does not cover the length,,even if you have covers this would happen to me,,employees or visitors? ..just like running your shins into a receiver with along hitch on it.I forgot it was there,,but you may not be able to have it happen again, with a big fall.I was thinking of one maybe 20 years ago,,my retired fert guy told me of his dads demise by fire in his service pit.Told me he could hear the screams from his bedroom(he was 9).Died after horrible pain (from burns )for many days,,I actually near cry when I recount what he told me of.But they have their place if vented and drained and you service heavy long units often. | |
