Rebuilding the R62 before harvest. Aftermarket parts worth messing with or just go OEM? Probably clean grain and tailings augers and elevator chains, both feeder chains, any related sprockets that are worn. Rotor and cage all appear to be in good shape yet. Will probably go with the OEM chrome bubble up auger.

I do have a mechanic from the dealer coming monday to inspect it to make sure it is in top shape.

Also has anyone used the auger extension that shoup sells? http://www.shoupparts.com/Catalog/View.cfm?type=Product&ShoupID=AE1...

If so, some installed pics would be great.

TIA

I put a set of aftermarket feed chains in my 62 several years ago and felt they did not last as long a oem. I would recomend oem on a weekly stock order if dealer treats you fair. Also the rear feed chain id just a little longer than front chain and is I believe $80-90 cheaper than front part # if you are willing to shorten for the front chain. I replaced both this spring. The shoup auger extension is very nice and worth the effort. The screw if easy to weld up but some of the bolts putting the ext. to the tube can take long arms that are limber.
