Long story, but my nephew and his wife has now got control of the farm where my brother and I was raised…. Former dairy farm. My dad had a Ribstone brand silo built in 1980. It’s a 20x60 concrete with the galvanized bolt bands around it. It had the alternating green and white dome roof on it
Stopped using it in the early 90s. Sold the cows not long after due to sickness
A storm came through and “took” out a section many years ago and then last fall another storm came through and tore off the remaining roof
Nephew and his wife has expressed interest in wanting to replace the dome top…..
I think I know that there is no such thing as a Ribstone silo now…. But I was wondering if there was a company that might could give them a quote on just a galvanized metal “dome” top?
They want it to look like a silo and not an Amish top like I suggested
I wish they would just take it down but they think they want to put a top on and leave it
They will never put any forage in it they just want to keep it as keepsake. Gonna be expensive I know, if it’s even possible to find something

Be careful. News just had a guy killed when silo he was repairing collapsed. Silo
on my home farm was poured concrete and top 2 feet just crumbled and roof took
a ride as a result. Good Luck
