Big shoutout to the manufacturers of Thorogood work boots. They are so comfortable to wear and they have outlasted every work boot I have ever owned !

I couldn't find a store that sold them, but you can order them direct, or purchase on Amazon.

I like the "American Heritage" style, and they have been holding up really well, but after a couple years the stitching is letting go in a couple spots. Fortunately, we have a local saddle repairman who will stitch them up. The leather on mine have outlasted any other leather boot I can remember owning, although I never had a pair of super premium boots like Whites. Anyway, mine are going on 2 years, normally I get about one year out of boots, and with $10 in new stitching I think they'll last through this summer yet pretty easy which would put them at about 2 1/4 years, actually cheaper per month to have than most boots I owned. Cost right at $200 a pair when I got them. Do put in new insoles every 3-4 months if you have foot issues. I'm doing that and they are about the only shoes I can wear all day without my feet starting to hurt. The only other boots I have found that are as good for my feet are the genuine USMC RAT (Rugged All Terrain) boots, and they are a bear to get on and off. The Thorogood slip on and off much easier.

Chebanse, IL.....

I bought my pair a month ago from one of the Amazon suppliers a month ago. Delivery was supposed to be about a week, but they arrived in 2 days.

I know...support local. Well, I do when I can. In fact, our favorite little private shoe store/shoe repair place said they no longer sold Thorogoods. I had bought Thorogood boots from them before. I asked if they could order them. They said no. Well...I tried. I'm sorry. I have been dealing with that store for over 50 yrs.

I want Thorogoods, not their "substitute".

My first pair was good. 2nd and 3rd pair not so much. Onto nicks now and they won’t make 2 years even for me

I switched to Whites because they dropped the style that I liked.

I tried all the expensive brands , still my go to are the ones Wal Mart sells .

Hard on concrete , but great in dirt . Tough and last .

I have a pair that look half new in my closet. They got dirt between the liner and the leather after about 3 weeks. Figured I’d keep them for the apocalypse. But that was a huge waste of $300 unless I get down to wearing them. I do keep about 10 pair of boots that are worn out just in case. They did send me a nice bottle opener in the mail.
