I need a UTV sprayer to go in the back of a 6 x 4 Gator to spray several feet on some field and waterway edges. Just Roundup to hold back what we call "June Grass". It's wild Kentucky Bluegrass that creeps in the the fields in wet areas. I've compared Fleet Farm, Farm and Fleet and Gemplers, all Fimco branded. Are there some other options around the Midwest to compare. Seems like a 2.4 gpm 12 volt pump and 7 nozzles is the most common setup. Thanks

I have A 100 gallon model made by f/s manufacturing. with a 12 foot boom. It fits in the back of my ranger. I really like it, but wasn't cheap, but I use it every year and run a lot of gallons through it.

F/S with gas pump but add a 12 volt ball valve and run the wire with switch in cab. Cone bottom u can use cherry picker and install or remove in 5 minutes. Make a light chain dedicated to just this and use bull rings on unit. Spendy but worth it .

I've got a 90 gal tank that I bought from John deere. Fits right in. Already set up to clamp to the bed. Comes with booms and flood jets. Works well. I spray ditch banks, around fields, my yard etc. I don't know who makes them but it's made for your gator.

Any of these sprayers can work, but if running a wider boom like 12 ft. you will need a larger pump than the standard little one. Those are designed for a hand wand and maybe 3 nozzles.

I have an 18' boom and can spray 10 gpm at 7 mph with electric pump, that's fast enough for me.

I bought my tank from a local Co op. Nothing special.
I don’t use a boom. Have a, I guess, would be the same as a miniature cluster nozzle. Sprays probably 12 foot. Used it a bunch. No problems with the nozzle. Basically spray roundup and MSMA

its not difficult to make your own. also be sure your machine can run the sprayer pump and the cooling fan. My SxS wouldnt do that. had to add another battery.

I went with the 40 gallon DemCo. It fits nicely in the back of my Polaris Ranger. I secure it with some chains to the tie down points in the Ranger bed. I use some coil springs in the chains to allow for some "give" in the tiedowns. These chains go over the top of the tank and just lay there loose while spraying. When I wish to remove the sprayer, I can use the forks on my utility tractor to raise the sprayer out of the bed.
I power the electric pump with an extra battery which sits in the bed. I use a relay which I control with a switch up front. I wired the extra battery to the regular Polaris battery. The Polaris charging system charges its own original battery and the extra sprayer battery. If it isn't able to keep the sprayer battery charged, it has a chance to "catch up" while driving home.

This. I use a deep cycle battery in the back of the Ranger for spraying. Takes the load off the vehicle's charging system.
