Pretty neat but would be hard to turn around in most of our 30 acre fields around here haha. Plus I’m guessing the 1 million price tag that’s probably going to be slapped on her will put me out of the game even if it lasts 20 years. Oh well just neat to see progress! The guys that used to run 100Hp steam engines probably said the same thing! Just not sure releasing a new tractor that maybe 5% of the farm world can justify at sub $4 corn is gonna go over real well but we’ll see. Sure would be neat to take it for a few rounds

LOL, Thats what my uncle said back in the '60s when I was wanting him to buy a 806D for the farm Surprisingly, we get a Versy 550 turned around in those same, and smaller, fields

I wonder if it has a totally new bigger frame and everything or if they just slapped a bigger engine into the existing frame like Case did with the 715.

It’s a given it will have the 18L engine. I was told that 2 years ago. The hood definitely looks bigger. I’m wondering if they sized up the rest of the tractor. Hard to tell from the pics.

The Internet
it will have quite a thirst! Are there any legal issues around regulations and the size of the tank? Something in the back of my mind is telling me above a certain size, maybe 1 cubic metre, there's different regulations for tanks, 1,000 litres of fuel won't keep 850 horse fed for that long

I would guess Houston Texas for commodity classic !
The star on the building could very well be in Houston but I don’t recognize that building around Reliant Center or is the Commodity Cmassic at George R Brown?

"trying"? Why the shade thrown on the Quad? The new gen seems to have several good upgrades.
You know how our hills have special requirements. Wider stance our to 120 inches like they can with the rowtracks can and with bigger drivers to catch more guide blocks so not as many tracks are ruined pulling the big loads in the hills would be nice. The Case 715 has addressed the bigger drivers and more track area but not moving the tracks out wider for better holding in the hills and more turning power as the track is further to pull in corners from the drawbar pin. Just some simple physics solutions. Deere has taken the lead in addressing our hillside issues. The Challenger/Fendt also had been adapted well for our hills. Starting with the steel tracks they are closing in on 100 years of dominating the hill country.

I know for a fact it does not have DEF. Beyond that, not sure. Will know in a week. Would be surprised if it was actually exempt on anything below Tier 3 for sure but who knows.

A buddy bought a pickup from a guy working in the design dept for the tractor works. We picked it up last friday after touring the factory, there was 4 areas that are being retrofittted for the new model. Supposed to be publicly introduced on the 28th and production starts in Dec. He actually designed the software that controls the transmission. He went on the say that the whole tractor is considerably heavier duty from the ground up. He also figured 1.2 million for possible cost and 2 models...815 and 840.

On a tractor that size is another 35 hp over the previous model really going to make a difference?!

TOO BAD THEY DIDN'T USE A 3412 CAT AND HAVE SOME RELIABILITY. BROTHER THAT WORKED AT CAT IN FAILURE ANALYSIS SAID THAT ENGINE WILL RUN 24-7 AT 900.
I think the exact same thing was said about the John Deere V8 engine in the 8850 and the air cooled Duetz engines. They worked great as stationary engines and were a failure when applied to the mobile tractor world with different conditions.
