I doubt it is that much different the TS 110 except ten more HP. Similar trans. Mine is broken into groups of 4 semi-powershift. So low 1-4, 5-8. High 9-12, 13-16. Reverse 1-4, 5-8 so electric push button in ranges, manual shift w/clutch within H, or L range. It easily pulls 8 row planter, 13 drill, 4-18 plow, 18’ disc, 45’ drag 12’ chisel plow *not super deep, spike teeth on chisel plow*. I pull +26k lbs grain to town with it. *it’s working on hills, I have to drop a few gears*. 10 more hp would be nice.
I had a 7740 sle that was fwd and a loader, and a ts100 fwd and loader. The cab on the ts100 was nicer then the cab on the 7740 but the 7740 had more grunt. Both tractors had the transmission your speaking of.
The ts6 120 has a transmission just like the 8700/9700, TW'S,8600/9600 etc. Only difference the 4 gears are fully synchronized and instead of being in the floor the dual power is a rabbit/turtle button on gearshift. The ts6 120 also has a reverser on the steering column.
The cab appears to be about the size of what was on my 7740. I understand that the cab is the one off of the t4/t5 series tractor. This is supposedly the same frame size as a t6 series without the deluxe larger cab.
I thought the 2 larger models had 6 cylinder motors and maybe the earlier ones did, but the current ones all have 4 cylinder turbos. This is going by a brochure I picked up at the dealer Friday.
I used my 7740 and ts100 as loader tractors, pulled hay rakes (new holland 216) and john deere 700 and occasionally pulled batwings.
This tractors I'm going to actually work a little and just curious how a 4 cylinder does when pushing 100hp. It's roughly the same as a 4020 or a old 8000 and those old tractors had the grunt.
I'll have to admit that I admire the simplicity of this tractor as it seems to have a whole lot less electrical crap on it to go bad.
