Denmark | The 4240S is a very durable tractor that got an extremely good reputation here.
It differs from the 4240 in having Bosch inline injection pump and turbocharger, making it much more powerful and fuel efficient.
It also has MFWD. Otherwise pretty much the same as the 4240.
As it is European (assembled in Mannheim out of US built components) it has other lighting to legalize it in EU. This means front mounted lower set headlamps and fender mounted flashers.
Also, as I recall, a regular hand brake and outlet for hydraulic trailer brakes.
It was sold here with the Quad range transmission as the 4240 was. It is a good trans. just you remember that the tractor must be at a standstill before shifting to reverse. Neglecting this can become very costly, but that goes for any Quad range trans.
